By Dr Heather Holst, Commissioner for Residential Tenancies.
In February I was a keynote speaker at the Consumer Policy and Research Centre (CPRC) forum, The Renters’ Journey. I presented on the characteristics and trends in the Victorian rental sector, the key issues for renters and the opportunities for change.
At the forum, the CPRC launched its report, The Renters’ Journey. The report explores the rental experience of young singles, women over 55, low income families and migrant families, and makes recommendation to policymakers for change. For more information, visit the Renters’ Journey page on the CPRC website .
The forum provided a full day of presentations and discussions that complemented and explored the themes in The Renter’s Journey.
Congratulations to the Consumer Policy and Research Centre for hosting the forum; the first of its kind for Victoria.
