The Commissioner held the first meeting with the Community of Practice about tenant education on 31 July 2019.
The Tenant Education community of practice is comprised of representatives from a range of organisations involved in providing information to residential tenants. The Community of Practice provides an opportunity for these stakeholders to discuss issues and opportunities to improve information for tenants so that more tenants know their rights.
At the first meeting there was significant discussion about the implementation of the rental reforms announced in September 2018 and the opportunity to review the style, content and range of resources available to tenants.
